The seventh CicLAvia takes over Wilshire Boulevard

For a stretch of seven hours this weekend, Wilshire was closed to all auto traffic, with cars replaced by a swarm of cyclists taking part in Los Angeles’ CicLAvia.

More than 100,000 people joined in the event, which was inspired by ciclovias held in Colombia 30 years ago to draw attention to the pollution and traffic taking over the streets.

But how is it that they didn’t all fall into the potholes and die? Wilshire is the worst.
