RIP, Elizabeth Taylor.
"During a career that spanned six decades, the legendary beauty with lavender eyes won two Oscars and made more than 50 films," Elaine Woo writes in Taylor’s obituary. Times’ film critic Kenneth Turan penned an appreciation in which he says, “While many actresses specialize in public private lives, it’s hard to think of another one quite as astounding in its fearless pursuit of happiness as Taylor’s.”
